I was planning to come here for dining for quite some times ago and FINALLY I am here to try the Michelin starred sushi established in New York City. The traditional house specialty sushi is crafted from freshly imported fish from Japan, prepared by Head Chef Toshihide Terado, who refined his skills in Japan to execute elegant cooking and Omotenashi.

Steamed Kampachi - The sauce was a bit sweet and salty

Steamed Cod Fish Sperm - The surface crisps up while the inside remains soft and creamy. The taste was slightly sweetness with a bit of fishy taste

Head Chef Toshihide Terado was preparing Uni (Sea Urchin) sushi
Seabass sushi
Otoro (Fatty Bluefin Tuna) sushi
Sardine sushi
Scallop sushi with some yuzu on top
Salmon Roe sushi
This was the highlight of the lunch! LOOK at the Unis (Sea Urchins). I was shouting OMG inside. There were three type of sea urchin we were having. The American Sea Urchin on the left, Hokkaido Red Sea Urchin on the middle and Hokkaido Purple Sea Urchin on the right. The purple sea urchin has sweeter taste and it was more creamier.

chopped Otoro sushi
Butan Prawn sushi
Prawn head Miso Soup served before dessert
The dessert was Hojicha pudding and Japanese Melon
Bottom Line:
Sushi Azabu has blown my mind with the freshness of the ingredients. As I mentioned above, the highlight was definitely the three different type of sea urchins. I can literally compare the taste of them on my taste bud.
The cod fish sperm was my first try and I don't think I will have it again in the future. Once is more than enough.
I will definitely come back to Sushi Azabu in the future.
